Nothing brings more happiness though than being the one to give those acts of kindness out…simply because I can or because i care. It helps me believe there are still good, kind people in the world. Facebook and other social media have brought us together in some ways, yet we do not visit in person as much, or even talk on the phone as much anymore. Everything needs to be "quick." We need to slow down. And simplify, i.e. fewer possessions....Bonne Annee!Linda Kerrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03104532523835151784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8632687405116920387.post-87381062228073279912013-01-08T21:49:50.278+01:002013-01-08T21:49:50.278+01:00Yes, practice the "Golden Rule" or "...Yes, practice the "Golden Rule" or "loving-kindness" as some would say. Look at all the people travelling with earphones, either attached to a phone or an iPod. Or all those who choose to only listen to/read within their own set of beliefs.

If we can once, each day, make a connection with someone - a smile, answering a question patiently, just saying "hello" - we'd be a much happier, nicer planet.Lazygalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12008100108035617927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8632687405116920387.post-47603890701306473342013-01-08T17:53:03.432+01:002013-01-08T17:53:03.432+01:00I think one problem is we have stopped "seein...I think one problem is we have stopped "seeing" people.
