It's freeeezing out, no snow but the grass and trees are covered with frost, which means soup is now simmering in the kitchen. As always it's vegetable soup: courgettes, leeks, celery, carrots, a handful of fresh peas and some Chinese cabbage (it's my new thing).

| The prelude to an apple/pear compote. |
Next week will be full of this and that, including:
1.) News & Views
2.) Our By Invitation Only group explores "Inspiration"
3.) Update on my Lipomassage, the treatment from hell.
4.) A capsule wardrobe
5.) Surprise
That's the way things are shaping up for the moment, but who knows. . . ? My chapter editing is zipping along at head spinning speed and we're in the home stretch for final decisions on the illustrations.
Et voila, that's my news for today.
A demain mes, très, très, très chers amis.

Sounds like a wonderful day, Tish. Could we get you to post your soup recipe??
vegetable soup and fruit compote.......divine!!
Number 4, a capsule wardrobe. Yes, please. I look forward to that especially. Be fearless for black and navy!
Ah, this sounds heavenly! xo
It certainly is homemade soup weather! (Courgettes. Mmmm.)
All the "fixins" for Soupe Hercule Poireau in my fridge (forgive my corny sense of humor). Nothing like a hearty soup of veggies, and leeks are sublime.
Looking forward to be inspired by the By Invitation Only group discussions this week, and the rest of the this and that for next week.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend Tish... it sounds so... and that you have recovered from your torturous massage...:) xv
Soup and a fruit compote- and good bread, too? Divine!
Your soup sounds delicious. I'll be right over!

It was freezing out here, too, so during the Super Bowl last night I made Coq au Vin! Perfect weather for it :)
Soup and compote sound excellent.
xoxo, C.
