Thanks, once again, for these wonderful packing-for-style ideas! I'm learning a LOT from these posts and am bookmarking every one.
Love that coat, and I've always worn a lot of brown.
I have had the opportunity to see and examine Acne clothing in person, and my verdict is - junk.
Mixing brown and camel beige is not to my liking either.
iHowever, brown is ok, if it is the " right " brown, and in small dozes ( one piece of clothing ).
My favourite colour, live in it most of the year,my answer to the little black dress!
Mix mine with creams/mustard/kakhi/taupes.Ida
LOOOOVE brown in all its many shades and have a wardrobe to prove it:) I am bookmarking this..too many great ideas!
Janice, lovely as always. But METTE, please, have you never heard the expression, "If you can't say something nice, then (please) don't say anything at all"? Thanks! Ellen
That coat is gorgeous - in fact it's a bit like The Bear, a vintage 50s number that I found at Brixton market last year and have been wearing a lot this week.
Love this post and the coat. Black has become trickier for me to wear as I get older. I'm very pale and I find browns to be softer. Thanks for such lovely combinations for travel. These posts are very helpful!
It's beautiful -- milk-chocolate brown with that pale blue. I wrote browns off, pretty much, in favor of black, because it's easier. This makes me rethink.
I so agree with sisty-the brown with pops of blue are lovely. Since following Janice's advice, packing is a breeze. I've been to Ireland and Boston this fall and have packed less with plenty of options from what I have brought. Bravo Janice!
I always enjoy Mette's comments!
okay, that's it! I'm finished with this black/gray travel wardrobe that I'm always carting around. I'm reworking after this post. Beaautiful. Thanks for the great ideas.
Isn't Janice amazing?!! Oh my gosh, you had me at that coat. It's so perfect. What a beautiful capsule. Never, ever, EVER tire of La Vivienne.
I like the brown coat and everything Janice had put together in this color. I wear brown quite often, and this post is wonderful for me.
Ellen,
thanks for reminding me. This could apply to you too!
Acne clothing is overpriced, produced in whatever country, and actually meant for younger women.
