Have a few little black dresses like this {don't we all}, but I had never thought of wearing a pull-over sweater on top of it. The first image - January, gives me some fresh idea's to extending the looks of my dresses.

What is not to love about the LBD? As pretty as the sleeveless is though, I still prefer my arms covered... Oh for the 3/4 length sleeve version!

I did see one last year and ought to have snagged it... with a lovely V-neck as well. Terribly flattering style.

Happy holidays to those for whom it applies - and everyone else!

Janice is a gift for those like me who don't have a personal shopper/dresser. I've picked up many tips, maybe I should mail her a check...:) Thank you Janice and Tish!

Both my 26 y.o. daughter and I loved this inspirational post. I've been a little shell-shocked since my arrival in France in June ( & eventual departure in September) and have have seldom been on the internet during this period. Visiting your blog reminds me of all the wonderful things I've been missing. Bisous

Janice is a genius. I found her here through you. She is transforming how women shop and build their closets, intelligently instead of mindlessly. Anytime she does anything with black, I'm crazy for it. I, too, wish she could get paid bundles for what she gives out for free.

Happy Thanksgiving Day here in the U.S. today. I'm grateful for so many things large and small. I'm wondering what it must be like to be living as a transplant in a foreign country when one's own holiday traditions and customs occur; perhaps it's the best of both worlds, adopting the new but also embracing the former!

Thanks for all the many, recent, wonderful posts!

I've often thought about using the LBD as a skirt and pulling a sweater over the top as is shown in Jan. and Feb. I thought that might seem odd but not so. Thanks for the confirmation.
