This week she has chosen amber as her base color. Who knew you could do so much with this under appreciated hue?
It works beautifully with navy if you have a green phobia. (I must talk to her about that combo. I know we both love navy.)

All of this would look so lovely here in Provence right now--that color is absolutely perfect under our blue skies and golden light. But just a note for anyone packing for a trip soon: it is already HOT here! :O So perhaps linen instead of the very cute jeans...just a thought!
Amazing how little you can get away with if you match the colours correctly. I have to say today we are in tracksuits, it is cold here at the moment!! Diane
Having lived in Provence in the summer, I see a few things missing here. One is a long, loose skirt, perhaps in a muted Solieado print, and sandals. Also a straw hat is a must.
Hello Tish
I love the colour combinations.
I would tend toward navy with this rust colour
To a great week

I'm assuming, Janice, that this is fall travel outfit to fantasize about?
I love these posts, and this one really caught my eye as I proceed to pack for my annual trip to Provence. Nothing in my suitcase comes close to resembling these clothes. As I check the weather in Avignon, I notice it is 90degrees at 3:00pm. Lovely as it is, I think this wardrobe might be better in the Fall.
Amber is a beautiful color (I wonder why we don't wear it more often). It's versatile in most seasons. Hmm... I have a beautiful foulard in amber. Maybe just the right touch for a sortie later this week?
Lovely ideas in this post. (But I always want a higher heel... What can I say?)
:-)
I would call this "amber" color "rust". Not a great color for me. Love all the olive green, and I love olive and navy for me. In love with the olive trench - never heard of Goldmajor - could Vivienne tell us about it?
A very thought through wardrobe for a weekend, pretty combinations.
But there are an awful lot of clothes for just a weekend, imo.
I think that these would be great colors for fall too. Sadly I can´t copy anything from here, as the colors are not mine( ;
Mary Jane shoes - never liked them, and though the Ferragamo loafers might feel good, I find them clumsy.
Foe a weekend trip, I don´t think that I´d take along Hermes scarves.
In the whole, an artistic wardrobe.
It looks like the trench is by Woolrich...
Now you are into my favorite colors. That Ted Baker flowered T is one I just might have to look for...I love all of this!
Wonderful color mix !
LOVE these colors... but for hot summer I would have to use a LOT more white white white with these pieces.. linen, rainbow leather flip-flops, sunhat and we're done!
xoxo
see you soon!

Amber and khaki - great colour combination that works all year-round.
Just had to comment, these are my colours and I am wear them often, rust is a very over looked colour....not keen on the idea of navy & rust?? depend on the colour of the navy....maybe you could do a combination of these colours?
Great to see other colours not the usual, black, black. Ida
Amber, or cognac (as I am more likely to think of it), is one of my favourites, though hard to find in light clothes, and when the temps vault above 30C, with high humidity, not as drawn to it except for shoes. Love it with black and navy.
