Next Week or The Semaine Prochaine
Yesterday at the Ritz was divine -- I'll tell you more about it on one of my News days this week (you'll really want to hear what my friend was wearing, in fact she didn't have on anything I wouldn't want to own) -- it was so sunny we requested that the waiter either move our table or the parasol. He moved the table. Those parasols are enormous.
As I write this, the plans for the days ahead are a little sketchy. I know there will be a News & Views day, or maybe two. Janice has a travel wardrobe waiting for us and I'll be writing a June wedding post for our "By Invitation Only" group which will give you the opportunity to read many different takes on the theme.
It's Mother's Day in France today and while we were out shopping this morning I saw Salma Hayek en famille in the town near ours where we do most of our shopping, at least of the bread and dessert variety as well as ballerinas, flowers and the occasional bijou.
The Pinault family has a magnificent country estate near us. You know, the Pinault family of Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Printemps, etc. Salma Hayek is Madame François-Henri Pinault in case you had forgotten.
If you were wondering, and I'm sure you were (I would be), is she beautiful? Yes she is. She is gorgeous and as far as I could tell, sans artifice.

I love that you had such a fun time yesterday--hooray! And I am pretty fascinated by Selma Hayek. I read the best interview with her when her skin care line was coming out--she seems incredibly determined, intelligent and yet down to earth. What a true beauty.
I cannot wait to see what your friend wore and to hear about your time with her!
Happy Mother's Day Tish. Sounds like a nice week ahead.
Happy Mother's Day!
the week sounds like it'll have some goodies in store...
As I was reading what you wrote about your friend "she didn't have anything on..." starting to be shocked until I read the whole sentence :)
