| Slip by Clare Tough. Did you swoon when you saw it? |
That's why I asked my friend, the creator of The Vivienne Files, to pull together a long weekend second honeymoon in -- where else (?) -- Paris.
Once again, it's perfection from take off to the last night of room service. You'll note she also packed a candle. Ambiance, ambiance, ambiance, n'est-ce pas? Order up -- or sneak into the room -- a bottle of Champagne and add more memories to your lune de miel (honeymoon).

Maybe yellow is what you wore on your first date. Maybe it's your sweetheart's favorite color. Maybe it just makes you radiant. For whatever reason, it's the color of choice for this long weekend in Paris, dedicated ONLY to celebrating your happiness together. Lots of pretty, lots of flowers, lots of love!

Such romantic ensembles! Lovely.
She "backed" a candle? Might want to edit that....
Otherwise, sounds like the time of your life! :-)
OOOoops, thank you Anonymous. That's why blogging is so tricky -- no one to copy edit.
I just love Vivienne's ideas, and I'm happy to see that you do too. This romantic one fits my plans! Not Paris this time, but four nights in a lovely townhouse in Beacon Hill, Boston, in June. I am wondering what to pack...
I adore the lingerie!
Oh my! So romantic. So lovely.
Such a beautiful wardrobe would be the icing on the cake for a honeymoon in Paris. Sigh. Wouldn't it be just so loverly...
I want that suitcase and the trip to Paris!
I love the way she does all this. She's more casual than me (well, almost everyone is) but I completely approve of her choices. Travel well, Tish !!
These yellow tones are challenging to wear for some of us, but I find this combination of pale yellow and gray to be very pleasing, and surprising.
Some lovely pieces in these selections.
Romantic, elegant and breezy as a feather...love it!
All the clothes look good, although I would probably end up buying stuff in Paris... including a new suitcase to fit it in :-).
Ciao
Alessandra
I love the lingerie choices.
I have to say, and perhaps it's personal bias, but I really don't find yellow and grey appealing. Neither color says "romantic" to me, nor do the shapes of the clothing. Love the dress thought.
Aside from, but also including the lingerie, I would pack black including a black lace cocktail dress.
Lovely. My husband and I are off to Paris for our 2nd honeymoon at the end of April, so I was very happy to see these suggestions today. I'm more of a black/navy/white girl, so will attempt to improvise, unless I'm lucky enough to find further inspiration on your wonderful site! Kate
What a fabulous post! Adored all the ensembles, has made me fall in love again with the chic shade of yellow!
Ahh, a little romantic getaway in Paris-it doesn't get any better!!
Woah, oh my, this really caught my attention: when my husband and I were courting, '84/'85, I was wearing these colours a lot!! I had some great grey pants that were both smart/casual, a finely striped cotton top in grey/white that always looked nice and a pale yellow sweater, with a pale yellow double belt - I wore those clothes so much and for years, this was a lovely reminder!! Maybe when we do this, I will go back to those colours for nostalgia's sake ;)) Thanks for the memory and the tip!
....and WHAT are you going to do with those beautiful lingerie slippers?????
Oh to have an organiser!!
Love the spring soft colours rather than strong formal wear
Swoon indeed. I'm scrolling up for another sweet swoon/ogle.
