Quote of The Day

Alrighty then.

No, I refuse to be upset -- OK, I am mildly perturbed -- but I shall not ratchet up the emotions beyond major disappointment.  My picture whatchamacallit thingie won't put pictures on today's post.

What me worry? No, not until much later today -- or even tomorrow. For the moment I'm deep-breathing. In 24 hours if the whatsit doesn't perform, I'll be in full throttle hysteria. But not now. No, not at all.

I shall leave you with this quote, which would have included a portrait of Jonathan Swift, but he wasn't as good looking as I imagined him to be so it's no great loss. Love the quote though.

It is a favorite of a dear friend, and his ultimate explanation for why, in most situations, particularly politics for example, one cannot change another's opinion with argument.

"It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into," Jonathan Swift.

That's as close as we come to politics in these parts and, you know we never, ever go near religion, money (except how much something costs as opposed to how much one has), and s*x.

I so feel your pain!! I love blogging...but the time I have to give to technological difficulties is so frustrating!! I wish we could just sit down every time and everything work perfectly...but I guess that is a life lesson as well...right?

My photos won't post today either - it makes me feel quite a bit better to know that it's Blogger, and NOT us! Better days ahead, no doubt about it.

No photo on my blog from last night either .. but after googling something and finding a photo of mine :( I don't like my photos being on google.
I am sure they argue politics all the time here, we just don't understand them ! Bliss :)

We're all in the same "Blogger Boat' this morning! May I offer a suggestion to get you around the problem?

Here's what I found would work:

Click the Edit HTML tab. The familiar typing screen will open and and you'll see the usual photo icon in the header. Click and upload your photo -- then go back to the COMPOSE mode to finish your message.

Does that help?

Blogger has been a bad, bad boy lately. They need a new head of engineering, pronto. Mr. Swift is a favorite of Professor C., so I already know what he looks like and I will fill in the photo from my imagination:).

LOVE the quote Letitia! and your writing. So much fun, such great choice of words. You are great. "Point à la ligne."

I had the same problem. I managed to make it to work via Edit, not Compose, if you know what I mean.

Good quote.

Great quote and I'm with you on certain topics I just won't touch (for the most part!)

Also, I was having the same problem with photos on Blogger. After some troubleshooting, I found that if you click your "Settings" tab and then scroll down, choose the older version of Editor. It allowed me to post an image, although you can't place them in different parts of your blog; it stacks them at the top for some reason. I'm with you, Blogger needs some serious IT help.

You are using a free service, friends. While it would be brilliant if it worked perfectly all the time, it doesn't.

I feel your pain. Blogger can be so frustrating sometimes. Walk away and enjoy your day. It's not worth worrying about. It happens to us all. However, that being said, all of the above is easier said than done, oui?

I read another post from a blogger in the UK that was experiencing the very same problem...
I hope that you can find something wonderful to do to take your mind of the present glitch. Blogger will get this sorted out soon.
May I be as so bold as to suggest a trip to the shops or a walk in the sunshine?
Hugs
XO
