On The Streets of Paris

What can I say? How is it possible not to be passionately in love with Paris?

Most of the women I saw on the streets this week were still wearing their winter wardrobes, but coats were left unbuttoned or put aside in favor of blazers and short jackets. And best of all, skirts and dresses are slowly beginning to reappear.

Another hot trend: smiles.

I am thrilled to see the hot smiling trend! Makes me so happy.

How stylish are these gorgeous ladies!? It looks like Paris is just beautiful at the moment! How I wish I could be there...

Best wishes,
Natasha.

Paris is always gorgeous. Six years ago today was our first full day in the City of Light with our then eight-year-old son, so I've been in full-on Paris nostalgia mode lately. Every time I've been to Paris before and since, it's silly but I've always marveled, "People LIVE here. They actually get to LIVE here." It'd be like a kid finding out that people actually live in Disneyland, I suppose.

One thing about the French: they understand the importance of good-looking outerwear. And why not? Sometimes that's all other people see, so you better make it good.

TGIF, by the way.

Great shots! I love all the skinny pants on women in l'age. Their hair always looks amazing and I don't know how they do it!

Fabulous shots, Tish! The early spring light there is just divine. I love the silver grey top and jacket on the silver-haired woman. She knows what works for her!

You know until my last trip, my 6th I've always disliked Paris but I really loved it last time and now I'm looking forward to going back.

As always, I love, love these "On the Street" posts. Thanks so much for doing them- I know it can't be easy! But for those of us stuck in a dreary part of the States (say, for example, Seattle) seeing these pictures let's us do a little vicarious travel. And reminds us that in other parts of the world, people are dressing in something other than fleece and clogs!

Hot smiles do it for me. Someday snow will end here and we'll smile too. Bon weekend, xoxo, C.

You're right - the smile seems to be the hot accessory! But everyone also looks lovely - I think the first is particularly chic.
