News, Views, This & That. . .

Burberry spring/summer 2011.

Just a sampling for now. I'm off to Paris.

Have lots of News & Views for today, but only time to show you two. Think of them as hor d'oeuvres.

From my list of tidbits for you, I've chosen one I covet, the other if you gave it to me and then paid me to wear it, I wouldn't touch it let alone put it on my body.

I think I've made my position on reptiles quite clear in the past. I might make an exception for my feet. I might.

Both offerings from the spring/summer collections give those of you longing for color, exactly what you need. If you happen to like lime snakes, well this is your year.

I'll take the luscious Vuitton color block bag. It's one of those go with everything, every where, forever beauties. If only. . .

Covet the bag. I love the color block look. I'm not one for pattern and strips are about as far as I'll go. Color block is perfect for me.

Orange and fuchsia is one of my favorite color combinations in the world. Merci, M. Saint Laurent!

Have fun in Paris!

The color combination of the clutch is new, to which I give my points. It is also large enough and tolerates touching.

I'll be very happy once this reptile/python trend has passed. It's not that I don't like reptiles, I do. Just am SO tired of it and think a lot of it looks so blowzy and cheap. And not in an ironic way.

I'll pass on the Burberry.

Ugh. that Burberry outfit is horrendous. Talk about pushing the envelope. Tiny amounts of classic animal prints are as wild as I can get. I can't imagine anyone would actually buy that, but you certainly woke me up with a jolt, Tish!

The bag is not "me" as I'm not bold enough for an orange/fuchsia combo, but I can see how it would be a fab splash of color in the spring & summer. It certainly is beautifully constructed.

Dear Cheri,

I've been divorced for over 20 years, and have gotten pretty casual in my home attire - I sleep in a loose teeshirt and pajama bottoms or sweat pants. I'm getting engaged soon - realistically, what does the woman of a certain age wear to bed today, and lounge about in on the weekends?

AWFUL - DREADFUL - ugh.....
I HATE SNAKES...
Who would buy those clothes???
I wouldn't even like to be the models wearing them on the catwalk.

Lime snake. No, bleh.

Jury's still out on the bag. I like it in theory, though I can't see myself toting it anywhere. But I'll defend to the death your right to have it, dear Tish.

Hi Tish, Would love to comment on a a comment from anonymous: Bed wear should be attractive, but comfy. I bought a few soft cotton drawstring pants and tank tops from Victoria's Secret. I also bought a leopard print spaghetti strapped nightie. i still will wear my sexier stuff, but when it comes to sleep one should comfortable.

I loved so many of the coats and jackets in the Burberry show. The first orange coat on the runway definitely was calling to me!!

I think the snake look is just plain ugly. Don't like the colours, don't like the length, so maybe I just don't get it. As for the bag - yes, delicious and good with absolutely anything.
