We're off to Paris to meet a friend of my daughter's chez Angelina to partake of what will surely be my last chocolat chaud of the year, but worse than that, it will be the last one for the foreseeable future.

At least I'll be enjoying arguably the best of the best in Paris. Chez Angelina, one could eat the hot chocolate with a spoon, rather than drink it -- and then there is that huge dollop of unsweetened whipped cream that floats on top. . . Oh, the wonder. Damn the calories.

January 2nd (no, not the 1st!) I'll be revisiting Dr. Dukan -- big time.
A demain with something special.

As a confirmed chocoholic I can almost smell that through the ether! Enjoy every sip and have an extra sip for me!
Wishing you a wonderful New Year. J
OMG. I have heard of this almost pudding....enjoy every spoonful dear Tish, and start off the new year with whatever goals you have set. Just a little chocolate in your life, non? I have a fine cocoa powder in my yogurt EVERY MORNING just to get the fix in a "healthy" way...teeeheee...
BONNE ANNÉE MA CHÈRIE! Anita
BONNE ANNÉE Tish,
Sam
Dear Tish, Angelina's is one of my favourite places and I always have extra cream as I'm such a pig xx
Enjoy the chocolat chaud! That's always such a treat.
Bonne année, Tish!!
Leave the book at home when you go to Angelinas...when the collections were held in the Tuileries everyone in the fashion world would end up there between shows- including the models. So you see, not that bad on the figure. Lie. Have fun!- oh, and their Mont Blanc....
Angelina's hot chocolate is scary-good. Enjoy!
Mhmmmm, chocolat chaud. J'adore!! :)
Oooh, chocolat chaud is one of my weaknesses. But like you, I'll be forgoing that particular indulgence in the New Year. le sigh.
Never would have thought of "unsweetened" whipped cream. Hope you enjoyed, really enjoyed the treat.
Each day this week I've worked out 1-1/2hrs with a dear friend. Ten years ago we lost weight big time working out together 5-6 days a week. We are older but not wiser where weight is concerned. Cheers for our hero Dr. D. He will be the frosting on my big time workouts. Merci for all, xoxo,Carole
PS, Marci, if you're out there, finally back to Pilates (love it) since I joined new health club.
I thought I was through with chocolate for the year, but after reading your post I rooted through my cupboards and found a single dark chocolate filled with raspberry creme. Hardly worth the calories but I couldn't help myself. Sounds delicious!
I much prefer unsweetened whipped cream with chocolate. It makes me feel so virtuous.
This looks divine and is driving me to my kitchen right now to make an utterly non-comparable cup of Swiss Miss. Enjoy!
Drool! And I just started my post-Christmas diet. I agree about the unsweetened whipped cream. I only ever have it that way. Gives a great contrast to the sweet dessert/drink it is with.
Oh my, it looks so wonderful! Enjoy every little drop.
If your 'January 2' plan has to do with any diet secrets, please share.
I bought Dr. Dukan's book and recipes when I was in the Alps this summer. Have I read them? No. My French stinks! Fortunately, yours does not, Tish; good luck with le regime!
I've never been to Angelina, which I sorely regret.
