There has been rumbling in the ranks.
For the moment I haven't seen signs of a huge uprising, but some under-the-surface bubbling discontent is evident. Many of you are not neutral on the subject of neutrals.
You want color! And you want it now!
OK, here you go. You want it; you've got it. Officially approved and shown on many of the best runways in the world, the predominant color is red. Interestingly, it looks cool with camel and great with gray. Imagine that.
Personally, since you didn't ask, I wouldn't go all out for red. It's too, too for me. I think a red coat is a superb idea, and the turtleneck beneath the Givenchy beige coat is lovely. (Since I already own a YSL red pea coat, I'm covered.) Then of course there is the accessory route. We'll talk about that tomorrow. I like that path myself.
From the top: Paul Smith; Givenchy, Givenchy, Givenchy; Kenzo; Stella McCartney (OK, the top is sort of orange. . .); Marni; Valentino; Giorgio Armani, Giorgio Armani and Paul Smith.

Really like the Kenzo outfit - which isn't typically Kenzo, it's quite minimal. Camel and red, a fine combination!
I love that coat in the top pic, but can't do red and black anymore. It's just too intense and jarring for me. I love the red with grey and camel though!
I just purchased a red jacket this weekend! So I'm good to go. So sorry to hear about your dog! And your own bad cold, of course! Hope everyone is better this Monday!
Loving the red, my favourite combinations are camel or leopard and red xx
Going to buy a red jacket or sweater this week. It's all about the most flattering shade for one's own skin tone. Thanks for the inspiration with the sensational pictures. Keep up the good work Femme!
I have my beloved red flats...and one cherry red cashmere sweater....love red but do it in small doses.
I love the way these reds look on the models...I think ones complexion and hair colour factor in to the wearability of larger garments in red.
I'm with you I'd go the accessory route too. Loved the red sweater top lwith the black and white swingy skirt..... The Model in the white double breasted coat,( which I loved)looks like she's having a very bad day.......Maryanne xo
I love the red coat in the first photo although I probably wouldn't wear that much red.
I too love the red and camel combination.
This isn't my palete, either. The cut of the Dolce and Givenchy- there's a reason why these models are in their teens! I admire colour on others, except red and black combos- as Pesu says, jarring, and harsh.
Oops, palette!
OH I AM WITH YOU TISH, Red is not me. My mom loved the color, but I detest it! However, it does look nice on these models and your photos are always chic and wonderful!
Thank you again for yesterday, and we look forward to your help.....Anita
I can't really do a true red but an orange red works. I have a red dress I'm thinking of pairing with a leopard belt. Saw the combo lately and liked the idea.
delightful, I love your tone of voice, your comments, your advice, suggestions, notes. Thank you! from a fellow ex-pat living in the provinces.
