This meager récolte (harvest) will be our vegetable tonight in an ersatz ratatouille with the last of the tomatoes.
The jars of tomato sauce from last weekend are lined up on a shelf in the cave. There is something curiously comforting about looking at them. Of course, they are not far from the bottles of wine and champagne. That must have something to do with my petit frisson of delight. (Sometimes those frissons are caused by a mouse, but that's an old story now.)
It's an on-and-off rainy day today. I hope it's a beautiful autumn (unless you live in another hemisphere) day in your corner of the world.
A demain for the weekly line-up.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Oh Tish, you are going to have a luscious ratatouille tonight! Oh, please crunch into a fine baguette for me! When I was in France, I could NOT get enough BOULES and I went daily to the boulangerie. La dame behind the counter just finally asked me one day, "MADAME, are you going to eat all of that?" I emphatically answered, "OUI!" So, think of your American friend tonight, who is grateful for this virtual friendship...and merci mille fois for your kind comments on my art and my picture!!!! Oh how I love to create images....and share my love for what I think is beautiful....have a magnificent evening dearest..Anita
Dear Tish,
You made me laugh when you humbly described your ratatouille dish as "ersatz." I love this time of year, although where we live, the winters that follow can play havoc on your patience. When I see your lovely pictures "out & about" Paris, I remember how much Anita and miss it. We hope to make an extended trip to France and Spain after we are done with our home building project, and if at all possible we would love to meet you.
Your visits and comments on Rattus Scribus are always thoughtful and a delight.
Thank you, and have deliriously happy day.
Ruben
Tish, I feel you and I were speaking to each other today, without even knowing it:). Have a wonderful weekend.
