No fruits and veggies this weekend. I'm too excited.
My "baby" is coming home for a week.

Although we talk almost every day, we haven't seen each other for a year. That is definitely the downside of living on the other side of the world.
By special request, since she has never seen the potager laden with tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs and courgettes, I wanted to leave everything in place. Maybe I'll take a picture of her holding the crops.

Her special requests included: fromage, fromage, fromage, yogurt ("and not any of your zero fat brands". . . That's easy for someone who has zero fat on her body to say.), butter with sea salt, Maille mustard, Fins Gourmets, several pain au chocolat "and we'll see when I get there."
Et voila, weather beautiful and we are sooooo happy. May even give one of the dogs a bath, unlikely, but possible.

Enjoy the weekend with your 'Baby' - that plate of cheese looks positively French. Have a nice weekend;-)
enjoy your time with your"bébé" ! Sharing food is the best way to celebrate des retrouvailles!
Oh, you shall have a wonderful time. I will see my babies in a couple of weeks. They are not quite so far, but far enough, about 1200 miles. xox ~ Alexandra

How wonderful to have your baby home, especially after a year. Yes it is so hard when they live on the other side of the world but thank god for air travel.
Have a lovely visit with your daughter!!
Not to pry, but OK, to pry, can I ask how old your baby is now? I really feel for you, a whole year without. On the other hand, it will be so interesting to see how and if they change still now that they aren't, really, if we admit it, babies.
Dear Tish, Having recently found your "blog", I really dislike that word, I must say how much I am enjoying it! It appears you may be my femme soul mate. Your style sensibilites and mine are exceptional. I am so happy for you that your baby is coming home to mama. My baby just left me again for the allure and job possibilites in Washington, DC. Ah, to be 25 again. Well, really, no thanks :). Marguerite!
Oh you must be over the moon!
I cannot imagine the excitement...an entire year without a glimpse of your baby and now it's time.
The chesse platter looks so delicious...enjoy your time together.
Wishing you a fantastic reunion!!! that cheese tray looks scrumptious!!! HHL
Hope you have a great time catching up. That cheese platter looks very yummy. Diane
I wish you a wonderful time! One whole year sounds like forever.
Your cheese plate looks delicious!
Good gracious, that sounds like heaven on earth. Your baby has great taste! :)
Tish,
Have a wonderful, happy week with your girl. Getting their favorites in the house helps pass the "waiting" time, doesn't it.
Let us know what she helps you organize this year.
Enjoy
Jeannie
Letitia you must be bursting with excitement. I soooo understand the feeling. Amusez-vous bien!!!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend .. Our babies are always our babies xx
You lucky dog, you! Spoil her senseless! I know how hard it is for my childless friends to relate to my hideous exuberance when my boys come home.
Enjoy my friend.
Absolutely wonderful, Tish! You guys will have a wonderful time together, and the weather sounds lovely.
Oh have a wonderful time - am sure you will - I know what its like to be separated from them. So sweet the reunion though. x
