A few women from the country village on a sublime, sunny Sunday morning doing their shopping for the de rigueur big family lunch and while their children or husbands picked-up the tart aux framboises, several dashed into Coté Rue, the boutique of my friend Babette, pictured in the filmy white dress. Les soldes are irresistible every day of the week after all.
As for the feet, they're from the town and the country. You will note in the mix the Chanel ballerines plus those camillia sandals we were swooning over a few weeks back, and Repettos in a juicy orange patent leather. Lots of red toes as I've said. (They are really, really starting to interest me.) And look (!) gray polish on the toes in the silver flip-flops.
Now I shall select the perfect outfit and head out to take pictures dans les rue de Paris. Let's hope it will be as much fun as it was last week. (Sometimes it's torture.)

So do you just stop people and ask to take their photo? That must be pretty hard. I'm currently loving the colour coral on my toenails, it looks good if you have a bit of a tan!
Love the second outfit - I blogged about holiday footwear/sensible shoes this week and am v pleased to see someone looking gorgeous in Birkenstocks! Just got back from a week in Corsica and took a few sneaky photos of stylish French people which I'll be blogging about shortly.
Love seeing your photos Tish, keep up the good work!
Lovely photographs Tish - my ballerines there too! Gorgeous nail polishes too - how summery everyone looks! x
I cannot walk in my Chanel camellia flip flops, I wonder how folk keep them on? I have to grip them on with my toes for dear life - the bin and back is about as far as I can waddle in them. Do French women have an extra hinge on their toes? Oh I bet they do!
Great pictures and the second one has me thinking I should get my Birkenstocks out!
I have a "No Flip Flops" policy, but those camellia numbers could change my mind. Thanks for showing the shoes in detail, too!
in canada i see alot of pastel colours lately for nails, toes and hands.
butter yellow, peach, turquoise, light blue, grey, mint green
looks great with tan too

Oh, footwear for the warm and sublime summer months. The women photographed are all very chic, and I love the choices in footwear, too. Oh, as for nail varnish I'm wearing red on my toes!
Warmly hopes you are in good form;)
And the little boy. With his stuffed Piglet and sweet face:).
Love those toes.
Tish, do ask Cherie what colour she would recommend for my fair feet. I am headed to a pedicure next week. And remember, I am blessed with very white feet!! Red is sometimes shocking.
I have the most divine pedicurist and once fell asleep during the hour and a half she spends pampering my feet. Not wanting to wake me, she chose the colour for my toes herself. It was redder than a 1955 Chevrolet. My toes looked as though they had been stuck inside a Cuizinart. Fortunately, it was winter, so no sandals were involved.
Tish, these 'street style' posts are my absolute favorites. I love seeing what real women are wearing--French women of all ages--they are an inspiration. More, more!
it is say life is plat and fashion is high heel
didn't it ?
