Edith is basking in the Corsican sun leaving me without our weekly collaboration. You are now looking at your surprise compromise. (You can see to what lengths I'm willing to go to make you happy.)
The rain stopped, the sun came out and off I went, cards in one hand, camera in the other, smile in place and spiel ready to spill. Because the weather -- as reported yesterday -- was so unpredictable it was a bit of a challenge finding women who were not in raincoats or otherwise covered-up for the relatively chilly temperatures.
I absolutely couldn't resist the young woman in the red shoes. You may also realize by now I try to get at least one dog a week into the pictures.
While shopping in my favorite store, Monoprix, I saw two women who kindly agreed to walk the walk. I wanted to ask them to accompany me outside so they would be "on-the-street" in keeping with the theme, but thought I shouldn't push my luck. As it was they hid their purchases so we could see what they were wearing.

I actually saw a Monoprix store when we were in Nice and thought of you. I'd have gone in, but it was evening and we were on our way to find some food. Nice is an Easy Jet flight from Newcastle, so I may find my way back one day...
Great job! I love how our four-legged family members are so much a part of the Parisian way of life!!! HHL
Great photographs of our French friends showing their style and that includes the canine one too - love that you post at least a dog a week now!! x
Love number two, such panache!
I love the red shoes and the olive jacket is so beautifully accessorized by that charming corgi.
Amazing, isn't it, to see everything from tiny sandals to black tights on the same day- I see it here, too. I notice how much taupe women wear in Europe. It is a neutral I like very much but you do not find it often in clothes made by NA designers.
My fave: the Chanel with stripe T...which would NOT work on me (note your sidebar: the camera adds 10 pounds:)
Wish your weather would stabilize..seems the same everywhere right now..90 one day then rain and 60 the next...but Paris..you owe us this!!!
bisous

what I really like about this series is how achievable the looks are. Like what I wear, only a little bit more style. Reading the Sartorialist, for example, I'm not now and never will be a 20 year old girl with 4 foot long legs, so I cannot be that picture. What you show us here, with a little more education and effort, I've got a shot.
Fabulous! (I'm all about the red shoes today.) Love the white shirt with the scarf too.
Thank you for this treat today!
No fair. You're making me miss Paris in the springtime. BIG time.
Love Mme. #2. So simple and so fantastic.
