A Weekend In The Country

Your cadeau for the weekend: two pictures of Edith's house in the country, where we do all of our collaborations, and a shot of sunflowers in a Paris flower shop snapped while I waited and stalked my prey for Thursday's Out and About feature. (Later, in the summer, I'll show you endless fields of sunflowers near our house.)

May your last weekend in the month of May be beautiful and joyous in every way you wish.

A demain for the weekly line-up.

Oh these weekends in the country are so lovely. Reminds me of the summer I spent in the Dordogne. Not that this looks like the Dordogne, but it certainly does so more than my California ranch. Thank you.

Oh, what a gorgeous house Edith has! Is that wisteria over that pergola? One of my faves but doesn't grow well here.

What in the world are you two doing up at this hour on a Saturday morning?

Yes, it is wisteria. I love it too. We don't have any in our garden, my R-F-L-I-F apparently has bad childhood memories of an evil aunt or something whose house was drenched in it and he cannot abide looking at it.

Please forgive me you two for being AWOL, life has been ummmm, complicated. But you'll be hearing from me as of now.

It looks to me like Edith lives in a beautiful country spa. I think the wisteria is gorgeous.

Happy Mother's Day!

Oh my goodness Tish, that is special.

If she ever does something like a Summer swap or whatever, let me know.

So pretty, what are the interiors like? Peace, X.

Greetings Tish,

What a perfect getaway!

Sorry to be MIA for so long. So much happening and really need more time for a ctach up. The next months look even more hectic.

Thanks for the respite,

That house is storybook perfect with the thatch roof and the draping wisteria.
What charmed lives both you and Edith lead between the country, which I assume is somewhere around Yveline, and Paris, which I assume is the 16th. I can't imagine two better places to live.

I can almost inhale those flowers. The weekend in the country looks and sounds spectacular.

Now... what about SATC 2? When do the Fab Four hit the cinemas of Paris?

I'll be most interested in your viewpoint of these particular femmes d'un certain age - and their latest capers.

Bon weekend,

Sheer delight!
Such wonderful pictures of a stately and grand home. The wisteria is beautiful....she must be a very gifted gardener.
