Patience, Patience. . .

J'arrive

Just walked in the door. Was in Paris all day where the weather is hot and sunny; the terraces overflowing and women of all ages are wearing long and short sun dresses with flat sandals. Every single toenail I saw was painted some shade of red. And many had you-know-whats dangling from their ears. . .

The post is coming shortly.

Oh, good, glad to hear that about the red toenails and creoles, since I polished my piggies in bright red last night. Hot here in Denver as well, after a very long and rainy spring. (Zero complaints about that.) I plan to stay indoors as long as possible today -- and with four reports to edit, that shouldn't be a problem.

Marsi,

Hmmm, "editing reports" --now I understand why you write so well and you have that wickedly rich vocabulary.

Don't you just love to get out of bed in the morning and look down at your painted toenails? My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I tell him it gives me a little frisson. My painted toes make me smile, unpainted they don't do anything for me.

Thank you for your kind words! I am also writing a graphic novel (comic book, really) with an illustrator friend of mine -- early stages.

I do get a small thrill from having nice-looking toes. I think it was Coco Chanel who said that feet are so ugly that they need all the help they can get. (Something like that.) In any event, I concur and do what I can.

One of the worst things about summer (at least in the U.S.) is that so many people DO NOT concur. :o[ It can be a little grim out there ....
